Dawit, 26 from Hulme registered with The Works in 2013 where, on completion of his CSCS qualification he found work with GB Build, a position in which he was taken on long term on the MMU Birley Fields project.
Dawit was made redundant early in 2014 due to GB Build going into administration. He returned to The Works to re-register with Aspire Recruitment and on doing so he was placed into a long term labouring role for Vinci Construction on the University of Manchester bridge demolition project.
“After I had been made redundant, I thought that would be it, and I wouldn’t find anything else. The Works got me straight back into see Aspire, and I am now back in a solid job, which is brilliant”
